Terry Ward-Ferguson: Writer, Photographer

I reside with my family in northwestern New Jersey and have been married since 1982 to my high school sweetheart, Jim.

He is the love of my life...a warm , compassionate and caring man.

Even after all these years, I still get excited when I hear him coming in the front door after work!

I am the mother of three beautiful daughters:

Caryl is married to husband, Stephen; They are missionaries with CMTS.

Kelly is studying for a career in nursing, and is married to Dan;

Courtney is a junior at Grace College in Indiana, studying communications. She married to Ricky and they are expecting their first child.

I also have a precious granddaughter, Ryleigh.  She is this "Grammy's" pride and joy!

My husband and I are very active in our local church.  Jim is an Elder,  I serve as church clerk,  and together we serve on the Board of Deacons, Outreach and Missions Committees . In addition, I am the chairperson of the Ladies Retreat Committee and teach the Preschool Sunday School class.

I volunteer with several community and non-profit groups.

I was, until a recent merger reorganization, employed in marketing support for a major pharmaceutical company.  I am seeking new opportunities and am looking forward to the new path the Lord will set out before me.

With the Lord's help I still find time to pursue my passion for writing and photography!

I am a member of Women's Mentoring Ministries, and a Helium contributor.

I've submitted stories for two upcoming books projects -one regarding  passionate living; and the other about mentoring relationships.  I have articles under consideration with the publishers of the Chicken Soup series of books. In addition, I am working on a book of inspirational stories, poems, and photographs.

My creative passions were recently renewed after meeting author and conference speaker,  Connie Pombo.  Her personal story of overcoming tragedy and finding her passion touched my heart.  After spending some time with Connie, she convinced me to pursue my dreams. She explained that our Lord created everyone with certain gifts and instilled in them a passion to use those gifts, but we often let emotional and/or physical burdens drown out those passions. We prayed together, and I was able to give over to God what had extinguished my passion. Connie's influence has stirred something inside me that has come to a boil and is now overflowing!

I pray that God will show me ways to use my gifts, pursue my passions, and to bless others.
